Short courses are co-ordinated through Eastman Continuing Professional Development. Eastman CPD offers hands-on and lecture-based continuing education for all members of the dental team from dedicated facilities at 123 Gray's Inn Road. This state-of-the-art facility includes seminar rooms and clinical skills laboratories (with simulators for operative procedures), and access to excellent clinics and audiovisual equipment.
Eastman CPD offers a wide range of courses designed to meet the continuing education needs of the entire dental team. While some short courses requiring only a few hours’ commitment are available, emphasis is on the development of longer, modular programmes which enable practitioners to work towards a university qualification (including Certificate, Diploma and Masters programmes) while maintaining their practice commitments. In addition to traditional hands-on courses and topical workshops, Eastman CPD offers small group teaching which facilitates interaction amongst participants thereby ensuring a positive learning experience. A number of innovative distance and online-learning projects are also available.
Eastman CPD has expanded its range of programmes to support Dental Care Professionals and encourages dentists to bring their nurses, hygienists and technicians with them on certain courses in order to make the day a truly ‘team’ experience.
Programmes are designed for:
- General Dental Practitioners
- Dental Care Professionals
- Practitioners with a Special Interest
- Specialists and Consultants.
Range of programmes include:
- Short Topical Courses (e.g. Careers Day for the newly qualified)
- Section 63 (MADEL funded) Courses
- Modular, Certificate, Diploma and Masters Programmes
- Revision Courses for Overseas Registration Examination (ORE)
- Distance Learning
